The Thankfulness Game

Does your family like candy corn? How about other small fall treats? You can use these treats to teach kids thankfulness.

Give thanks to the God of heaven.
His love endures forever.

Psalm 136:26 (NIV)

Here’s how the game works:

  1. Choose a time of day when everyone (or most everyone) is together. Maybe at dinner?
  2. Ask each person to take some treats. Yum! Dessert.
  3. Before you eat them, share one thing you are thankful for for each treat you took.

Make this a daily or weekly challenge for the month of November. Let’s remember the good gifts God gives us and be thankful.

always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 5:20 (NIV)
