Meet Amy Womble, our new Public Relations Liaison.

Update: Amy has resigned her post as Public Relations Liaison. We pray God blesses her and her family in her new endeavor.

Amy was raised in a home where God was discussed every day. Her parents were very involved in the church for most of her childhood. Amy accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior when she was 9 years old.

Even though Amy grew up in church with strong Christian parents, her life wasn’t easy. When Amy was in her early twenties, her life was very dark. Still, because her parents had taught her about God’s grace and His promises from an early age, she didn’t stay in the dark for very long.

When she was 24, she found out she was pregnant. Amy and her boyfriend Brian decided to go back to church and stop the foolishness. They both knew that is was important to raise a child who loves the Lord.

After Brian and Amy had their daughter and were married, God called (asked) Amy to rededicate her life to the Lord. She did and then became very active in the children’s ministry at her church.

After going to summer camp with a group of 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade girls, she got another “call.” God had placed it on her heart to get a degree in psychology, focusing on marriage and children in her studies. Amy had no idea why psychology, but she knew to not ignore God. So she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Sociology from Northwestern Oklahoma State University. She also wanted to take some ministerial courses, so she took some postgraduate courses at Mid-America Christian University.

Now Amy has found out what God had called her to do (made her especially to do). She feels that parents are in the front lines of the spiritual battle field for their children. Amy wants to help parents raise their children to be disciples by sharing the different ways to teach Biblical truths, and to help them answer the tough question that children are faced with every day with godly answers.

“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6 NIV).
