Deuteronomy 6:4-7 says to talk about God’s Word with your family. Why not do it now? Call the kids and get ready to dig into the Bible with this week’s family Bible study.

…..

Have you memorized John 3:16? Can you say it without looking below?

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 (NIV)

Jesus came to take our punishment for the wrong things we do by dying on the cross and coming back to life again. This is His free gift to anyone who believes in Him (Ephesians 2:8-9). When we ask God to forgive us, He forgives us, taking all our sin, wrong choices, away (1 John 1:9).

Does this mean we will never mess up and sin again? Unfortunately not, but God is willing to keep forgiving us and helping us to live for Him. Will you make that your goal?

“In the past you were slaves to sin, and you did not even think about doing right. You did evil things, and now you are ashamed of what you did. Did those things help you? No, they only brought death. But now you are free from sin. You have become slaves of God, and the result is that you live only for God. This will bring you eternal life. When people sin, they earn what sin pays—death. But God gives his people a free gift—eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” Romans 6:20-23 (ERV)

You still have a choice. Will you live for God, asking Him to help you, or will you just make the same poor choices you made before. Remember that God is always with you and He loves you. He will help you live for Him.

Take time today to pray and ask God to help you always live for Him. Thank the Lord for always loving you, no matter what.
