Why is Jesus so important? How can you tell someone about Jesus? What is the “3 Circle Gospel”?

This blog was updated on Oct. 8, 2024.

Why should we tell others about Jesus?

I gave you the message that I received. I told you the most important truths: that Christ died for our sins, as the Scriptures say; that he was buried and was raised to life on the third day, as the Scriptures say.

1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (ERV)

God wants us to tell people about Jesus. It is very important. Who will you tell about Jesus today? How do you do it? Stop and think of someone right now who needs to hear about Jesus. Pray for him or her. Then, look at these ways to tell him or her about Jesus. Decide how you will do it. Then go share! Do you have more ideas of how to tell others about Jesus? Share them with us in the comments below.

Tell your story

There are lots of ways to tell people about Jesus. The easiest way is to simply tell your story. How did you come to know about Jesus? Who is He? How is your life different because of Jesus? (We’ll talk more about how to do this next Friday.)

John 3:16

Another way is to use John 3:16. Memorize this verse and be ready to explain what it means.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:16 (NIV)

Wordless Book

Would you like to see a kid sharing the Gospel with a Wordless Book? Check it out here. Here is a link to instructions for how to make your own Wordless Book.

ABC’s

You can also use the ABC’s to tell others about Jesus. Click here to learn how to use this and a few other ways to share the Gospel.

3 Circle Gospel

The video below shows one more way to share the Gospel. If you can’t remember it all, that’s ok. Just pray, asking God to help you, and tell about Jesus. Download the 3 Circles app here. (Note: There are shorter ways to use this tool as well.)

VIDEO synopsis:

There is a lot of brokenness in this world. God’s design was perfect. Sin messed that up and broke everything. We are broken, too. We try to find ways out of this broken life, but they don’t work. God sent Jesus to live a perfect life in this broken world and take our punishment for sin. We need to repent and believe in Jesus to get out of our own brokenness. Then Jesus rescues us. We recover God’s perfect design as we pursue Him, walking with Him. We pursue God through prayer, going to church, reading the Bible, and sharing Jesus with other people.
